To Thee I raise my heart in praise
Though I can't see Thy face
Though dark and hard and rough the way
I'm carried by your grace

The battle presses Lord but Thou
The lifter of my head
Doth cheer my fainting heart and mind
With "'Twill  be as I've said."

And You will triumph this I know
For not one battle's lost
To You the Victor over all
You've won, Your life the cost

You rose again and conquered death
You conquered sin and hell
Because You live and soon return
I know all will be well

I praise You for Your power Lord
Against the hosts prevail
I follow on my warrior Lord
And all this earth doth pale

Compared to Thee, Thy Kingdom Lord
Eternity's in view
Oh worthy Lamb of Calvary
All glory unto You!

The Lord Our Banner

He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.  In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
                                                                    Colossians 2:14-15
In that day the heir to David’s throne
will be a banner of salvation to all the world.
The nations will rally to him,
and the land where he lives will be a glorious place.
                                                    Isaiah 11:10 NLT

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
                                                                                 John 12:32

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:  But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
                                                                           Exodus 14:13-16

 (The Lord our Banner)

Oh banner-bearer of the King
Lift high our Christ, our Banner sure;
He died and rose and lives again'
And bids us by His grace endure.

For He has won the victory,
O'er sin and Satan, death and hell.
Lift up your eyes midst battle's din;
Look up! He reigns; all must be well.

At Rephidim the battle raged
'Tween Israel and the Amalekites;
But Moses lifted up God's rod,
And they prevailed within the fight.

So too our Captain lifted high,
Our banner, "glorious victory";
In Christ alone, our hope is sure
And He will reign eternally!

                                 EXODUS 17
8Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
9And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
10So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
14And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
15And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
16For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.                           -Hebrews 11:1 NLT

Faith is just believing that as God's said He will
Trusting in His timing when all is dark and still
It's waiting for fulfillment while resting in His plan
Faith brings calm assurance, that as He's said He can

Faith sees things that are not, and dreams of what will be
It trusts in God's great promise, and walks at liberty
It soars on wings of eagles amidst the winds of strife
And sings for God is able to transform any life

Faith's heart in calm surrender awaits as God draws near
And in sweet trusting worship it knows no doubt nor fear
For here it's found it's anchor in Jesus Christ alone
The heart of faith won't waver when God has said "'It's DONE."

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”       (Is 55:11 KJV)

Taken up with the Lamb

"..those who catch the vision are ready to follow the Lamb  wherever He leads, and as they follow, in this spirit of joyful adventure, their path becomes clear before them and they are given power to fulfill their high calling. They are those who have the courage to break through conventionalities, who care not at all what the world thinks of them, because they are entirely taken up with the tremendous reality of Christ." ~Bishop Bardley

Hope's Return

In You, O LORD, I put my trust;Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness.Bow down Your ear to me,Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me.For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name's sake, Lead me and guide me.

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

                                                                   Psalm 31:1-3,24

Hope's Return

Like a blossom in the dessert
So we find hope's return
As the gentle rains of springtime
Mellow winter's traces stern

So we find that hope's returning
Mellows sorrows burdens sore
And the seasons of refreshing
Blow around our heart's closed door

And the sunshine of His smile
Rests once more with gracious touch
Upon our wounded spirits
Giving balm we need so much

We find that we are living
Once more with light ahead
Where before weary, defeated
We faced a wall instead

We find we dream of future
We know His hope has come
And though we face unknowns
We will not to defeat succumb

For Jesus knows the future
This blossom in our hearts
Of faith and joy in knowing Him
Through His love He imparts

Standing Alone?

"Can standing alone rightly be called standing alone?

I have found that whenever we stand up for Christ, He always stands with us."      Rachael Lofgren
                                        (paintings by Thomas Cole)
"...For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

A lowly Carpenter

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  -Philippians 2:5-7

Dreaming of places far away
Of battle feats of brawn
Building our castles in the air
We set our hopes upon
Some service great for Christ our King
Some place of duty high
Some task that seems of great impact
A cause for which to die
But on the air a whispered thought
Was I great among men?
A lowly carpenter I served
Why ask ye more my friend?
A place of humble duty here
Holds great reward above
If you will serve where I have sent
My own, My child I love
You'll find that though it humble seems
The least will greatest be
The key to being great with me
Is to serve both full and free
Given in service gladly now
Wherever that place may be
Humble or high to me the same
When a servant's heart I see
You want a cause for which to die?
Take up your cross today.
And serve a living sacrifice
To life this is the way.
And then someday when I return
My servants to reward
You'll hear, "well done beloved child"
"Enter the rest of your Lord"

Thanks for weary days

We thank thee Lord, for weary days
When desert streams were dry,
And first we knew what depths of need
Thy love could satisfy

We thank thee for the rest in Him
The weary only know-
The perfect, wondrous sympathy
We needs must learn below.

The touch that heals the broken heart
Is never felt above;
His angels know His blessedness
His way-worn saints, His love.

Just as you are

Child of mine, WHO made you?
Who calls you beautiful?
'Tis I My child who made you
I call you beautiful.

Child of mine, Who made you?
Who formed you in the womb?
The worldly fashions fading
Are not what you assume.

So oft' your heart is burdened
With sense of discontent
Or fear and misconception
When "beauty" seems all spent.

Look in My mirror my child
You'll find your image there
Made in My very likeness
A precious vessel rare.

A temple for my dwelling
A face for radiance
A pair of hands for loving deeds
Potential is immense

A soul of worth so precious
That Christ laid down His life
To buy you back and set you free
From sin and inner strife

A character like Jesus
To shed My fragrance here
And gifts to give a blessing
To all those I hold dear

Look in My mirror My daughter
You are My princess bride
No other fashioned like you
My precious joy and pride.

Created in My image
It's wonderfully clear
My daughter I have made you
You have no need to fear.
                 - Rachael Lofgren

"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous - and how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day passed. How precious are Your thoughts about me,O God!
They are innumerable! Search me, O God and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."
                                                                              Psalm 139:13-17&23-24               Amplified Bible
He made you and loves you just as you just as you are!

Remember that today and always!
