Assurance in Jesus

May Jesus assure you that as you follow Him
you will never meet a fear He cannot conquer,
you will never face an enemy He cannot defeat,
you will never enter a battle He cannot win,
you will never have a need He cannot meet,
you will never face a temptation He cannot overcome,
you will never have a burden He cannot lift,
you will never face a problem He cannot solve,
you will never have a bondage He cannot break,
you will never have a moment when He does not care,
you will never have a time when He is not there.
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. Philippians 4:13

God's best or second choice?

God has His best gifts for the few
Who dare to stand the test.
His second choice He has for those
Who will not have his best.

God of Hope

                                                                  Photo taken by Andrea Herrlinger

 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13

           God of Hope

Withered are the springtime flowers
Of the hopes that once I knew;
Shattered are the dreams I cherished
Disillusioned through and through.

God, the things that you have promised
Seem so vague and far away;
And now all I see is darkness
Will this night e'er turn to day?

Oh my Father, bear and lift me,
Draw me near in this dark hour.
Here I run to You for refuge,
You who are the soul's Strong Tower.

God of hope, oh come and nourish,
Once again my hope renew;
Keep from disbelief and sinning,
Lord, in hope I look to You.

As You've promised, I believe Lord.
As You've said it will be done.
Springtime's always after winter;
After storm clouds come the sun.

God has worked and He is working;
He'll restore when time is right.
After sowing comes the reaping;
Faith will one day become sight.

 Then there will be no more darkness;
Hopes and promises fulfilled.
There in perfect joy we'll worship,
All of earth forever stilled.

Help me to abound in hope, Lord,
By Your mighty power divine.
Fill with peace and joy, My Jesus;
Fill with hope this heart of mine.

"Hope in Me, I am unchanging".
God of hope, You know what's best.
And my heart once more is singing,
For in You my hope doth rest.

Take up your cross

                            The Daily Grind

“New occasions, fresh tests, difficult circumstances—all bring us up against the question of the will of God or the will of self. If we are hungry to go on with the Lord; if we have an appetite whetted for reality at any cost, then we will set our faces like a flint Crossward. Each will find ‘his cross’ in his daily pathway—waiting at his feet. Providential circumstances bring us up against choices which cross self. These will become the instruments of death to our own wills.”
                                                                 From: Embraced by the cross

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

He carried them

"In all their suffering He also suffered, and He personally rescued them. In His love and mercy He redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years." Isaiah 63:9 NLT

What a beautiful description of what our LORD does for His own!

"Lord send me anywhere!"

This is a link to a must read article. Are we really committed to going where ever He calls no matter what the cost? Read on and be challenged, convicted, and inspired by the testimony of one who gave all, followed the call, and was faithful unto the end.

Moment by Moment

Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine;
Living with Jesus, a new life divine;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Moment by moment I’m kept in His love;
Moment by moment I’ve life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine;
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Never a trial that He is not there,
Never a burden that He doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that He doth not share,
Moment by moment, I’m under His care.

Never a heartache, and never a groan,
Never a teardrop and never a moan;
Never a danger but there on the throne,
Moment by moment He thinks of His own.

Never a weakness that He doth not feel,
Never a sickness that He cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal,
Jesus my Savior, abides with me still.

Moment by moment I’m kept in His love;
Moment by moment I’ve life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine;
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Peace

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NLT
   PEACE IN ME...Not in circumstances, not in earthly relationships, not in religion, not in being holy, no.  PEACE IN JESUS. My peace I give to you. Let it rule your heart, soul, mind and life.  You have every reason to be at rest in ME for I have chosen you, I love you perfectly, I have called you My friend, you are Mine and nothing in this world can change that as long as you abide in ME. Obey me, Trust Me, Rest in Me. Peace...Rest...Sweet contentment.  In Him is our peace.  "I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid." John 14:27 NLT
